Healing Hearts

A few minutes and one month ago, we watched as our little boy took his last breath on Earth and joined our Lord in Heaven.  Our hearts are broken, yet so happy for Seton and his new adventure!  We miss our boy and our lives are forever changed because of him. We thank the Lord for every minute that He let us spend with Seton.  Everyday has its struggles, Tuesdays are especially hard, and every night feels empty without going through Seton’s bedtime routine.  I ask God to fill this emptiness in my heart, to relieve the pain and dry the tears. We are pressing into Him, clinging to each other and trying to live life daily. Our healing has started, but is far from complete.

As 2013 is starting we are looking forward to the new blessings God has in store for us. We would like to thank each and every one of you for all your prayers for Seton and us, as we walk the road God has planned for us.  I am not sure if we will continue this blog, start a new one or leave the blog world… but I will leave you with this.

Psalm 139:13 – 18
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in Your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
    They cannot be numbered!
18 I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
    you are still with me!

  4. Hello, I followed Seton's progress from early on, but have not checked in for several months now. I have seen you guys at church, and for some reason I thought of all of you today and wondered how Seton was doing. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I know your hearts are terribly broken, but I do pray that our Father will continue to hold you close, just as He holds Seton close now. God bless you guys for your strength and the testimony that you have been to the world throughout this time. He is a beautiful little boy.
My prayers are with you for comfort.

    1. Praying for you all. It may never be ok but it will get easier to live. God knows the plans He has for you and they are plans for good and not evil. We have the knowledge that one day you will see your baby whole and happy. Take every day a moment at a time and one day you will wake up with joy as your sadness and wonderful memories find a place side by side in your hearts. We don't understand God's ways but I have seen His hand on your lives. Take time to grieve. There is no guide book for that but it will take its time. We love you through reading your blog and our tenuous family connection. You are precious in His eyes and in our hearts. Wish we could give you both a big hug. If you ever just need to talk or pray your mom has my number. Use it.
